Region’s leading construction PR specialists unite to boost local sector
Two of East Anglia’s most renowned marketing firms have united to build the region’s leading construction PR powerhouse.
Felixstowe-based Prominent PR has joined forces with its Ipswich neighbours Friel, bringing clients a complete, full-service PR and digital marketing offering.
Both businesses have gained national recognition for their work – with Prominent PR helping housebuilding client Cora scoop five awards in 2023 and working with numerous high-profile firms throughout its 11-year history.
Friel, publishers of Construction Anglia, has worked with some of the construction industry’s most well-known brands – while its business development service has helped clients secure work with a combined value of over £100 million.
Together, the new combined team boasts former national and regional journalists, experienced PR professionals and business development specialists.
Clare Yelland, Managing Director of Friel, leads the new team, based at the business’ Ipswich Waterfront HQ.
She said: “Uniting with Prominent PR is an incredibly exciting time for our agency.
“The Prominent team have already settled in well and have come armed with fresh ideas to enhance our PR offering.
“With the government’s plan to get Britain building, we’re expecting 2025 to be a busy year in the industry – and are on-hand ready to support construction clients old and new in capitalising on these emerging opportunities.
“Together, we are going to capture the best of both agencies to elevate our services and deliver our clients an unrivalled marketing experience.”
Exciting plans for the business include enhancing Construction Anglia to widen its scope in the region and further cement itself as the premier source for sector news in the region.
Friel’s popular networking events, including Women in Construction Anglia and Property Drinks will also receive a boost, alongside further networking opportunities for professionals in the sector.
Away from PR, Friel will continue to enhance its business development arm, helping clients in the construction space with growth, identifying new opportunities and corporate social responsibility.
Helen Rudd, Founder of Prominent PR, will now focus on her role as a Director of Strategy and Partnerships at Harwich Haven Authority.
She added: “It has been over a decade since Prominent first launched and in those 11 years we have made our mark on the national industry – scooping numerous awards alongside high-profile client acquisitions.
“Friel boast a fantastic reputation and I am confident the new-look agency can offer clients a wider range of services to meet the growing demands of the sector.
“I wish the team and our clients the very best moving forward.”
