In 2024, the United Kingdom formally joined the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) — a landmark move that opens up new horizons for UK businesses across the Indo-Pacific region. The CPTPP is a high-standard free trade agreement encompassing 11 dynamic economies. Together, CPTPP members represent a market of over 500 million people and 15% of global GDP. CPTPP and the Indo-Pacific offers unprecedented access to fast-growing markets with reduced tariffs, enhanced trade protections, and greater regulatory cooperation.
